The information and Communication Sector in the country is laden with employment opportunity thanks to the increased reach, coverage, penetration and capacity available from the national optical project and the various telecommunications operators and complimenting service providers.

The opportunity range from installation hardware and commisioning of hardware infrastructure to analysis of the real need in context the industry environment to applications development and customization and to the provision of the platform infrastructure operating environment on which the partnership enterprises can secure store their data and retrieve the resulting information effeciently and effectively

This module the participants shall appreciate the definition of the enterprise information and communication system it needs and readiness in the country. The module will discuss the concieved partnership organizational structure which aims to pull resources in form of people, enterprises, financing and applications together to accelerate the tranjectory to the cloud.

 

The module in overview and will expose those who are contineously being churned out by the post secondary institutes of higher learning how they can apply their post secondary certificates without having to wait for direct emplyment or without having to turn to underemployment freelancing activities such becoming boda boda riders.

 

This module is offered in collaboration with the placement office for each institution where learners are oriented to the industry after graduation through programs such as attachment, apprenticeship, mentorship and intership which help reorientate learners to industy while showing them the value of their certificates to the industry.

The Capacity Building Programme manager for Inducti on to the ICT sector in the country will identify relevant projects such as enhancement of induction content and organize presentation and training events.

 

The programme manager shall be able utilize a site builder and the office package tools to operate and valuate the performance of the programme.

 

In this respect, the programme manager should compose a team of associates resource persons who are able to appreciate and interprete the immediate environment to identify the need and resources to accelerate the linking of education to industry in the information and communication sector.
